Can you believe it’s Friday already?  The weeks are just flying by.  In fact this whole year, I feel like it was January, I blinked and now it’s the end of the first week of November.  Before you know it, it’ll be Christmas and then, the end of another annual.

A few years ago Craig and I did our entire Christmas shopping haul online, and do you know what?  It was awesome.  No fighting crowds or traffic, we picked out everything we wanted and had it shipped right to our door.  It left a lot more time for reading books and enjoying the “season” part of the season.  This year, we’re going the “all online” method again, and we’ve given ourselves the added challenge of having our Christmas shopping entirely done by the end of November.  So here we go…

I’ve already got some great ideas for the people on my list this year and I can’t wait to share some of the awesome pieces I’ve found with you.  Make sure and check back over the next few weeks, as I’ll be sharing gift guides for everyone on your list.  And if there’s someone you just can’t quite figure out what to buy for (I’ve got a few of those myself) leave a comment and we’ll see what I can come up with.  You know me, I love a good challenge. ;-)

But first, a casual fall look!  This chunky scarf you guys.  I lived in these last year, and now that’s it’s turned cold and rainy up here in the PNW all I want to wear is big soft chunky scarves all day, every day.  You know how much I love a great pair of riding boots.  They are one of those classic closet staples, it’s worth investing in a good quality pair.   I bought these Steve Madden boots right after I had Ava and they are still a great pair of boots that a pull out again and again over throughout the cold months.  I don’t know why, but I’ve just been feeling the denim on denim looks lately.  It’s like the perfect blank canvas for adding layers and accessorizing with fun chunky scarves and of course my favorite this season, my cognac bomber jacket.  Anthro is really upping their game this year you guys, their petite section is rocking my world.  And fyi, all their sweaters are 20% off right now, so…

Happy Friday!

I’m pregnant with number 2 (due right after the holidays) and for the first time ever I did all my Christmas shopping online. The idea of having it all done and not trying to go shopping with an active toddler sold me. I finished everything last weekend and am now just waiting for the boxes to arrive and the wrapping to commence!
Also, I love love love that jacket- it’s on my Christmas wish list!

I dislike shopping in stores. My UPS man may judge me for stopping at my house nearly every day, but it’s a small price to pay to get what I want. Plus, there is less of a chance of picking up bedbugs, MRSA, the flu…haha.

I agree with Antro. I LOVE that they are adding more to the petites section. I hope they keep that moving. It is so demoralizing sometimes to see all of these nice clothes that just aren’t made in my size…

Can we talk about your makeup!! The matte lipsticks look great, casual and dressy. Any suggestions on brands? The gift guide sounds fun, looking forward to it.

I really like that you mix and match pieces we’ve already seen on the blog. And, they’re affordable items. This is real life, people! That’s why I love your blog. That, and that you are authentic and a beautiful person inside and out. Okay – enough gushing. I totally agree on the shopping on-line. I’ve been doing this for a few years now. I am getting more and more intolerant of traffic and crowds in my old age. LOL!

yes! It’s the best bag. It fits so much stuff in it without being or looking overly bulky. Plus it’s a great price!
