This time of year I’m all about felt hats.  I added two to my closet last year and I could not wait to pull them out as soon as the weather turned a little cooler.

This charcoal one is my favorite because it goes with so many different things, but I also added a deep burgundy one as well which was rather wise in hindsight since Marsala is the color of the year and I am all about that.

There’s nothing better than dressing in layers, and I love living in the PNW because it’s “layers” weather for pretty much all of fall, winter and spring.  **cue happy dance.

One of my tricks for dressing in layers without feeling too overwhelmed by any of them (especially being so petite) is to keep each layer lighter.  An easy deep burgundy sweatshirt paired with a lightweight denim jacket is perfect for fall weather, and if it gets warmer I can always take the jacket off and tie it around my waist, which keeps the look feeling finished.
