I’ve always had a real weakness for blazers, and tweed herringbone.  But when I saw this pin a few years ago, I knew I needed to marry the two, and have them take up residence in my closet.  (Still haven’t found the perfect sequin skirt.)  Anyway, it turns out tweed herringbone blazers are rather elusive.

That is, until this year.

I always knew I could count on Boden.

That brilliantly British company has always been a favorite, but now they’re endeared to me.  All it took was this blazer.

(which I didn’t have to alter at all, hallelujah!  Still might take the sleeves up a tick but I haven’t decided for sure.)

 I’ve always gravitated towards preppy looks, even as a kid, (I actually owned penny loafers guys) and layering plaid with a sweater and herringbone feels like putting on all the preppy at once.  I like pairing it with a little distressed denim to keep it from getting too buttoned-up.
