If I could make one definitive statement about this phase of my life, it would be that it is a balancing act.  Balancing motherhood, marriage, two businesses, keeping up a home, building friendships, and running two businesses.  So when I find tools that help me do what I need to do, a little easier, and with a little less fuss, I like to share them with you.  Because we’re all balancing aren’t we?

Today, I’m sharing Sudo a brand new privacy app (available on iPhone and Android) that’s designed to make privacy, shopping and socializing a little easier and a lot more fuss free online and off.

Let me tell you a few ways Sudo works for me:

Privacy.  You probably don’t know this about me, (because I’ve never written it about), but I love to clean out my house.  I’m like the opposite of a pack rat, if I don’t love it anymore, or if I don’t have a use for it, I get rid of it.  We recently did a major overhaul and I decided it was indeed time (since Ava is now 3) to adios all the baby stuff.  Which meant posting and selling the bigger pieces (cribs, strollers, carseats, baby backpacks) on Craigslist.  I am kind of a craigslist ninja (I’ve gotten selling on there down to an art) and I’m always very safe about how I go about meeting up with buyers, etc.  I love selling stuff on Craigslist (I know, nerd), but the one thing that drives me nuts is that at some point I’ve got to hand out my actual phone number and email addres in order to make contact with perspective buyers. What I love about Sudo is that it creates an entirely new email and local phone number that I can use from my own phone to call, text and email without people seeing my actual phone number/ or email address. A nice layer of extra privacy online and off.

Security.   Have you ever been hacked?  Yeah.  me too.  It’s a super icky feeling.  I do a lot of online shopping, and I like that I can shop streamlined and securely right from the Sudo app.  But as a business owner, I love it.  A lot of the suppliers I source with are not as automated as the rest of the online community.  Purchasing often involves P.O.’s with sensitive credit card info being sent via email, or over the phone.  I would like to say that I’ve never had any problem with fraudulent charges, but that’s just not the case, and I’ve had to cancel my card more than once.  I love that sudo creates an added layer of protection for my information; that I can pay right through the app.  I can also create profiles just for purchases which makes keeping track of what’s happening just a little easier.

Mostly, the app empowers me with the freedom to feel safe online, and in life.  When my purchases and my personal information are protected, I’m free to let loose and enjoy fun moments with my kids without stressing about what’s going on behind the scenes.

Very useful info, thanks! Also, I love that you used Country Village as your location. I love bringing my kids there to play and look around the toy store there. :)
