Lemonade is one of my favorite things to drink, especially in the summer, and I love adding fruit to give it a little extra something. Early summer is strawberry lemonade, July is all about watermelon and come August I make a mean peach lemonade. Truly delish.
In honor of our darling new Watermelon skirt in the shop I thought I’d share my favorite watermelon mint lemonade recipe with you guys. Now I’m using “recipe” in the loosest sense of the word here because really, it’s just these three ingredients:
Watermelon, Mint, and Simply Lemonade.
I make my own homemade lemonade (you can see the recipe here) but when I’m in a hurry, or don’t feel like squeezing a billion lemons, Simply Lemonade is simply divine. And works like a charm. And it’s so easy to throw it all together, but it really is just so much more fun to drink than a regular glass of lemonade.
First, pour. (I like to sugar the top of the glass, just makes it a little more fun.)
Add mushed up watermelon. 3-4 fork-fulls does the trick.
Chop up your mint.
Add the mint to the lemonade. Stir it up a bit.
Garnish with a slice of watermelon.
et viola!
Isn’t that so pretty?!
And a very happy summer to you!
Three things to note this week.
1- The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access starts on Thursday the 14th, as in 2 days from now. (insert dancing girl emoji.)
2- I wait all year for this sale because it is seriously that good. Make sure and plan what you’re shopping for in advance though, it will make sorting through all the awesome pieces so much easier.
and
3- The only way to get early access is to have a Nordstrom credit or debit card. You can sign up for one here. The good pieces sell fast, I highly recommend getting a card so you can shop early. Plus I love getting Nordstrom rewards. ;-)
