Bit of a late start this morning since I rolled back into Seattle at around 10:30 last night with a car full of travel tired kiddos.  Traveling solo with 4 kids is not for the faint of heart, but we sure had fun visiting cousins,  swimming, going to bear lake, eating sushi with my sisters, and just talking until late late late into the nights.  I already miss my family!

I know it’s only August, but the Pacific Northwest basically forgot to have a summer this year, and it has me all ready to get dressed for fall.  Enter, fall basics.  I actually love the transition time between summer and fall, when you can start wearing lighter layers and incorporating some fall color into your outfits.  These bordeaux flats have already started making an appearance, and I am obsessed with them.  I love my fall basics, like this utility blouse, because they are so easy to mix and match and wear long before the season technically starts.  Also, for those who asked over on instagram, I am super happy with my new Tory Burch bag.  I’ve been hunting for the perfect cognac bag for probably a year and a half and I finally settled on this one.  It’s just what I wanted.  It’s nice and big, I can fit my laptop in it, but not too bulky, was perfect for traveling, and I love that it’s a total shoulder bag.  That is a must have for me as a mom. It’s so so pretty and as Tory Burch bags go, it’s on the less expensive side.
