As a mom, who works for myself from home, I don’t have a lot of opportunities to dress business casual. (As you can imagine.)  Most of the time I’m on my computer, or styling, planning/shooting photoshoots and when I have meetings they are mostly on the phone.  But occasionally I do have meetings/events in the city and when I do I relish the chance to dress a little business casual.  I looooove business casual.  Like, give me all the blazers, blouses, tweed trousers, etc.  For reals.  My husband says I missed my calling in life.  (That calling being having a reason to dress business casual every day.)

Anyway, when it comes to business casual, I am all about chic neutrals with a little something surprising like the great texture and stitching on these pants, or the buckles on these amazing flats.  Speaking of these flats, oh my goodness.  You guys know how I love my heels, but walking all day on them is no bueno, not practical, and so I love finding great flats that still look chic.

They key I’ve found to flats that give you the same chic look and feel as heels is finding pointy toe ones.  I am obsessed with these taupe buckle flats because they go with everything and I love that the multiple buckles are so chic and surprising.  They are from Payless’ Christian Siriano line and I cannot wait to mix and remix them through fall and winter.  Great lats are seriously a woman’s best friend.
