You guys.  Yesterday was such a Monday.  I was literally running around from sun up to sun down.  So much to do.  I had a kid home from school with an ear ache, a mountain of weekend laundry, two upcoming projects to shoot, a car literally covered in sand and sea water that needed a car wash yesterday, Hannah needing help with her Junior High Algebra (which I no longer remember how to do) and on and on… Sometimes, when all six of us are finally sitting around the table for dinner in the evenings and I realize exactly all the things that had to happen right to get us there, and all the moving parts Craig and I are keeping running with our house and the kids and my business and his job, I just sit back and go whoa.  How is this all working?  To be honest, I’m not sure.  (really not enough sleep, that’s how.)  But we’re working, everyday all day.

Ironically, I used to hate Mondays, but now I kind of love them.  I love getting back in there and getting stuff done, working on things, checking things off my list.  (Raise your hand if you are a list maker.)  Here’s a funny thing about me: sometimes I’ll write things on my daily to-do list that I’ve already gotten done, or that are suuuuuper easy to accomplish (think: brushing my teeth) just so I can check them off and feel like I’ve already accomplished something…

It’s sad but true.

I know I can’t be the only person who does this.

On Mondays like yesterday, you know, the manic ones… I am all about the casual momiform.  I love these booties because they really elevate an otherwise basic outfit to me, but they work so well for running around and they get more and more comfortable the more I wear them.  The leather is literally molding to my feet.  My Tory Burch bag is a magic bag.  I keep patting myself on the back for buying it. It was a wise choice.  And I’m fairly sure the size is just a little too big for my petite frame but I don’t even care because I can fit my entire world in this thing and I love it.  It’s the ultimate mom bag.  Speaking of ultimate: it took me a good year to find an olive utility jacket that I really loved (on me) and now I don’t know how I ever didn’t have one.  What did I wear with all the things?
