Pink Skirt. (I bought the petite version here.) Cami. (only $30) Sweater.(on sale!) Necklace. Clutch. Shoes. Sunglasses.

When I was growing up, my room was decorated pink and green.  My mom was the ultimate nester, and she always had our rooms looking so pretty.  Wall paper, coordinating bed linens, beautiful art.  To be perfectly honest, it’s a little intimidating now that I’m an adult with my own kids, because I don’t know how to decorate all the things nearly as well as she did… But that’s a topic for another day…

Anyway, for a hefty part of my childhood (for reasons stated above) I thought that pink and green was the ultimate color scheme.  The best pairing in the history of color pairings.  And after pairing this dreamy pink micro pleat skirt with my favorite olive cardigan, I have to say… my mom was on to something.

But of course, mother’s always are.

I’ve been crushing on these twirly micro pleat skirts for the last couple years, but I’ve never pulled the trigger because a. I’ve never been able to find one in petites, the midi style would be more of a maxi on me and this is not a style I felt like attempting to shorten. (no thank you very much chiffon.)  And b. there’s never been a color that made me want to scour the internet for one.  Until this blush number came along.  This is literally the skirt of my dreams, and hallelujah it comes in petites as well.  I should also note that when the skirt of your dreams comes in petites and also just happens to be under $50… well, that’s just serendipity.

(FYI- I went up one size because this brand tends to run small.)
