One of the great things about having a birthday in early January (putting out positive energy here-early January birthdays kind of stink) is that I get all this Christmas/birthday money right before the very best winter sales.

For example, I always buy myself a coat for my birthday (it’s become a little tradition) and in the last couple years I’ve added a new pair of boots too.  I always pick them up for a screaming deal.

I always tell people that right now is the best time to stock up on winter things like coats and snow boots (you know those high priced items) because they’re such a good deal right now.  I know that the cold weather is already starting to get old, and we’re all already kind of thinking about spring clothes, but you will be so glad next fall that you grabbed that parka and snow boots while they’re were deeply discounted.  I’ve rounded up some of the best winter sales happening right now below.  (Including my favorite brand of winter boot, and some awesome sales on new arrivals as well.)

Nordstrom. The Nordstrom sale section.  This time of year it’s all sweaters, and boots and so many good things discounted.  I always find the best stop on sale items online. (and they’re easier to find)  Plus shipping is free and fast.

Abercrombie.  extra 40% off winter clearance.  (I’d say their stuff runs about 1 size small.)
