spring basics with Nordstrom.

I don’t know why, but I am always drawn to white tops, especially this time of year.  Spring is all about warm afternoons and cool evenings, so light layers are key.   I love starting with a great pair of jeans and flats then adding a simple top that has a little feminine detail, like the bow on this top I’m wearing, or ruffle sleeves.  When it gets cooler later in the day, a light jacket is perfect.  This blush bomber is so soft and lightweight, it’s perfect for this season.  (Plus blush is so huge right now.)

I’ve noticed that as I’ve gotten a little older, my wardrobe as gotten a lot less complicated.  During the week, when everything is crazy busy, I find myself reaching more and more for great basics.  Especially tops that are classic and versatile, with a little something to them, like this J.Crew bow top.  Basic but never boring.  It’s made getting dressed so much easier.

I told you yesterday about how much I’m loving J.Crew this season, but did you know that they’re at Nordstrom now?  This only further instills my belief that Nordstrom curates all the greatest things.  It’s also really great because it means free and fast shipping, or free curbside pick-up.  (Did you know that’s a thing?  You can order online and then drive over and someone will bring it out to your car an hour later… it is sooooo convenient.)
