So if there’s a “no white after Labor Day” rule, does that mean, white eyelet dress weather officially begins after Memorial Day?  This is just a rhetorical question for tradition curiosity purposes.  I’m aware that no one follows that antiquated rule anymore.  But seriously.  Does anyone know?

Either way, I’m a big believer in white dresses.  They are summer’s LBD and I think they’re just fun and lovely to wear.  Like Diane Lane in under the Tuscan sun or something…

Eyelet has got to be my favorite fabric of all time for summer, and I just adore the lovely texture it adds to any design.  There are so many pretty white eyelet dresses this season (I rounded up some of my favorites I’ve found below).  And now that Memorial Day is over, we’ve got free reign to wear them all we want… ;-)

Speaking of Memorial Day, how was your holiday?  Hannah and I ran in the morning then we went to a parade where she played with her band, and then we listened to presentation on our veterans which was so moving.  After the parade we went to a picnic with our church, and then we took the kids to the movies in the evening.  So overall it was a pretty great kick-off to the summer, even if my kids aren’t done with school for another 4 weeks.  Tell me about your holiday!
