You guys, I am super excited to share this post with you today, partly because so many of you have asked me to show you how I do this super easy messy bun, but mostly because it is such a simple hairstyle and a huge time-saver when you want to look cute in a pinch. It is literally takes under 2 minutes to do and it’s a mother’s best friend.

Some tips for this hairstyle:
*This messy bun works the very best with dirty hair. This is excellent news for those of use who typically only wash our hair once a week… and really want to stretch out your blowout you can wear your hair up like this for a few days even. (can we see how much Cori tries to avoid washing her hair??) Here’s my all-time favorite dry shampoo.
*Put your ponytail higher on your head than you think you need to, this messy bun looks cutest and works best high on top of your head.
*The trick to this hairstyle is really the bandana, it is seriously my secret weapon lately. I cannot get enough of these, and they are really on trend this season. When you’re tying it around the messy bun, make sure you don’t pull it too tight. The key is to look relaxed and casual.
