deconstructed furniture: my current favorite farmhouse trend.

Today, I’m mixing it up a bit and talking home decor!  I don’t write about that a ton here, but it actually fills my head a ton (especially as I am constantly working on turning our farmhouse into a home) and I want to continue to share more inspiration here with you guys, and hopefully a lot of fun makeovers as we keep making progress over here at the Robinson homestead.  So today I want to talk about my current favorite farmhouse trend: deconstructed furniture.  I stumbled upon this trend a couple months ago and it was love at first sight for me.  I recognize that everyone is not going to like or even get this trend, but I am obsessed with it.  I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to this style, that’s how much I love it.

I just think it’s such a fun, interesting style.  It’s farmhouse without being too cutesy.  I love that you can see the structure of the piece and that they always use natural fabrics for the upholstery. It’s the perfect marriage of rustic, organic, industrial farmhouse style.  If that makes any sense at all.  (It makes sense to me, haha.) Here are some of my favorites from around the web!

There are tons of DIY’s out there for how to transform antique chairs, but if you’re not the craft loving type, a lot of great furniture brands have jumped on the trend, like Restoration Hardware and Arhaus.  Joss and Main, Wayfair  and even Overstock carry some great deconstructed furniture pieces. I actually picked up a matching pair of antique chairs and a footstool off of Facebook Marketplace a couple weeks ago and plan to transform them into amazing deconstructed chairs!  Wish me luck! (let me know if you want me to share the process with you here.)

Here are a few more favorite deconstructed pieces for sale around the web right now.  I am obsessed with the beds!
