So a “fun” discovery I’ve made as my boys have gotten older… it turns out tween-teen boys who are not as in to toys anymore are SUPER HARD TO SHOP FOR! Especially since I’m not a big fan of video games.
As I shared on the gift guide for girls 3-6, my approach to toys and gift giving in general is a less is more, quality over quantity. So I love finding unique things that surprise and delight my kids, encourage creativity and critical thinking (especially as they get older!). All this to say, this was a tricky gift guide to put together, but I think I found some great things that your boys will love!
So here we’re go!
Travel Game set: if you have a kid who loves to play games and you travel a lot, this is a great fun gift idea and a great price.
Abercrombie kids coat. I got Carter this coat earlier this month and he LOVES it. It’s such a cool coat, super warm and very soft on the outside and inside.
Beanie. Love these abercrombie beanies. They’re low-key and look good on, and are soft too.
Abercrombie Kids sweater: this is the only brand of sweater I can actually get my boys to wear, because abercrombie is “cool.” Haha. But I seriously love the moose, its very classic.
Kids ray-bans: how cool are these little wayfarers? I love how classic they are. They’re a little pricey considering that they’re for kids, but if you have an older boy who is responsible, then these would be a great gift.
Loog guitar. If you have a music lover in the family, these are the most amazing guitars! They were actually created to make it easier for kids to learn to play. Plus I think the design is totally killer and it comes in a bunch of colors.
Natural Disasters science kit. Last year Ethan got a crystal growing kit and he LOVED it. I think this one would be super fun and a huge hit as well. I love finding great STEM toys for all my kids, and especially the boys because they are so into building and tinkering.
Abercrombie kids pajama set. Love this boys pajama set. I think my boys would actually want to wear these, love the green buffalo check and they look super cozy.
Catapult building kit. How cool is this toy?! My boys would love this, and bonus, it looks nice too! I feel like you could easily display this on a bookshelf, and at the same time it fosters learning and creativity.
How to code book. My boys are obsessed with coding and they are getting really good at it, so they would love a book like this. I think it’s a fun way to encourage a skill that will for sure serve them for the rest of their life.
Amazon dot. I know this was on Hannah’s gift guide too, but let’s be real. All my kids love music and they’re all getting one for their rooms. They’re going to love it! Now… Alexa, play some Christmas music…
