Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! I have to say, I am usually over summer by this point, but this sweet little garden of mine has me happily holding on to every last second of it. I cannot believe how much joy working on this has brought me this summer, and I’ll be a little sad when the last zinnia falls. However, I did plant a (now quite large) pumpkin patch so I’m looking forward to harvesting those in October. Disclaimer: This is so cheesy and I know it, but all of this is literally my dream come true.
Anyway, there are so many fun things I’ve seen around the internet lately that I am loving, I thought I would share a few of them with you, as well as the best Labor Day sales happening this weekend.
I don’t watch TV, but you better believe I was following Chris Loves Julia’s under $1000 kitchen remodel. I literally cannot believe how they were able to transform that space, with that little money in that little time. (I can’t even commit to a paint color that fast…). Click the link to see how it looked before! Let’s all give them a collective slow clap.
So now that we’ve officially finished (mostly, there are still a few small odds and ends) our bathroom remodel, of course my brain immediately starts looking at the next thing that I would like to get done. I always think that I’m going to want to just stop and relax and enjoy our house once we finish a project, but that’s not really what life is like in an old farmhouse. And creativity (I believe) begets creativity, so I end up unable to sleep because I have so many ideas running through my head. And so little time. Right now, I’m working on our new dining room design, which I will show you soon! And I’m already starting to think about replacing the upstairs hallway lighting (it is in desperate need of an update). Here are some of my favorites (tell me which one you like best!):

While we’re on the subject of home stuff, can we just talk about these gorgeous appliances from Cafe appliance? I’ve been (very) slowly starting to put together some design board ideas for our kitchen remodel, which will be coming sometime in the undetermined future, but I really want to do these. I love how you can customize the finishes and they have that classic Italian range style but with a slightly more modern vibe. Anyway, I totally dig it. Have any of you bought anything by Cafe? Tell me about your experience! Cafe appliances are 10% off this weekend for Labor Day, just FYI.
I found some awesome basics at Walmart this week (who knew?) all well under $20. This mustard sweater, and this waffle henley are so good for fall. I’m also loving the short sleeved version of the black Breton strip shirt I shared with you in the spring. And this tee looks like an exact dupe of the Madewell whisper tee but for less than half the price!

I am loving the textured throw pillow trend I am seeing everywhere. I love the looped ones and I’m even seeing leather around a lot now (which I love, BTW). Their chunky goodness really adds so much depth and texture to more neutral spaces.
