For the last two days, it has actually felt like spring in New England and it has been glorious. I’ve been dreaming hard about my cut-flower garden, and literally cannot wait until this fence is overflowing with colorful zinnias and snapdragons. I always start working on my Spring/summer capsule in late February and early March. I try to buy pieces that work for both season, and even better if I can carry them into fall as well. (You know I love those 3-season workhorses.)
The Shopbop spring sale started today and I am so excited to share it with you because it is one of my favorite sales! Shopbop does a major sale 4 times a year (each season) and they are the perfect time to purchase investment capsule pieces. (Those classics that never or don’t often go on sale- I’m looking at you Karen Walker sunglasses…)
When I cover sales for you guys, I try to think about what is going to be the most beneficial for your closet/life and make suggestions accordingly. You know I am all about building a functional, intentional wardrobe that serves you, so I highly recommend approaching any purchase with that goal at the heart. I NEVER buy something just because it is on sale, it needs to be something I would add to my closet regardless, but using sales like this as an opportunity to purchase those pieces you would intentionally add to your closet, I am all about that. I save and wait for the Shopbop sale so that I can snag those pieces that I have been looking to add to my capsule for a discount.

Best Madewell spring capsule pieces:
You know Madewell was going to get it’s own category, it’s my all-time favorite brand and a true high quality capsule brand full of great versatile pieces. These are some of my favorite spring and summer Madewell capsule pieces above, including my transport tote (that you guys know I carry every day), and this courier shirt, and this great dress that I snagged a couple weeks ago (pictured above.)
This is my big thing this season for spring, I am on a huge “floral dress” kick. I’ve added 3 new ones to my closet already this season, I love how pretty and effortless they are. and there are lots of great options from different brands like Free People, Madewell, and Lost and Wander included in the sale.
The Shopbop sale is an awesome time to grab your spring and summer denim because they carry so many great denim brands. I always buy my Levi’s from Shopbop and I love some of their long denim cutoffs they’re offering this season.
Spring bags:
Bags, you guys. These are those investment pieces I was talking about, and it’s a great time to grab them during the Shopbop sale. I’ve rounded up some favorites from Madewell, Clare. V. and Hat attack above.
My favorite spring/summer accessories are sunglasses and hats, so I rounded up a few from my favorite sunglasses brand, Karen Walker (I plan to snag these ones), and my favorite hat brands Brixton and Hat Attack. (I plan to add this straw hat to my spring/summer capsule this year, love the ribbon color!). I’m also loving these straw earrings, so lovely.

Loungewear:
One of my favorite loungewear brands Z Supply is included in the Shopbop sale. Their terry cloth jumpsuits are insanely comfortable, and really nice for those dog days of summer. I lived in their camo overalls last summer.
Luggage:
Spring and summer travel is right around the corner and one of my favorite luggage brands, Calpak is included in the sale. My favorite luggage set as well as their awesome packing cubes are included.
