sweater weather favorites from Walmart.

This post was created in partnership with Walmart.

It’s no secret that I live for this time of year. I try to find joy in every season, but sweater weather makes my heart absolutely sing with joy. I remember several years ago when we were moving from Arizona to Seattle my sister told me I would be so happy there because it was basically sweater weather all the time. She was right, and I savored every knit filled day.

When it comes to getting dressed, there’s nothing better than the fall for me. I love styling soft knits and chunky layers. My creativity really comes out and I feel like this is the time my capsule really shines.

Even though this year, most of my closet is inaccessible because of my bump, I’m still having fun getting dressed. Layers just make it so much easier to be creative. I thought it would be fun to style some great affordable capsule pieces from Walmart Fashion’s fall collection. I truly believe you can build a great capsule full of high quality pieces, even on a limited budget, it just requires a little bit of patience and work. And it’s so much easier now that brands like Walmart are really stepping up and offering great quality capsule products sustainably made at very reasonable prices. I added 4 new pieces to my fall capsule from Walmart this year and I am so excited to share them with you, because not only are they super cute, and bump friendly, they are also perfect for sweater weather!

turtleneck tunic sweater. similar skinny jeans. sherpa clogs.

First up: this amazing turtleneck tunic sweater from Walmart’s Free Assembly line. This is hands-down my favorite brand addition to Walmart this year. The quality is amazing, they are sustainable, well designed pieces, and so capsule friendly. This sweater is the exact same knit as a couple sweaters I bought last spring. I’ve worn them a ton, washed them in warm water and dried them in the dryer and they haven’t pilled or shrunk at all. They still look new, and I have every reason to believe this one will be the same. It comes in a bunch of colors, and I love this caramel-y one.

I also grabbed these fun little sherpa clogs from the Time and True line. They’re so perfect for wearing at the end of pregnancy when your feet swell up and none of your shoes fit. You better believe I’ll be wearing them all fall and winter. They come in whole sizes so I went up from a 5.5 to a 6 and they fit perfectly, and are super comfy.

Next up, this gorgeous donegal cardigan, also from Free Assembly. This is for sure my favorite piece I’ve ever purchased from the brand, and it is so good! The fit, knit, feel, everything is perfect, and the price is bananas. I’m so excited to style this all fall and winter.

floral dress. collared cardigan. similar boots. tights. similar bag. similar hat.

Okay, last but certainly not least is this dress from a new-to-me brand The Get, at Walmart. The brand definitely has a bit of a Doen vibe. Feminine and lovely. And this dress you guys… it is the bees knees. Here was my internal dialogue as I opened the package and then tried the dress on. “Okay Walmart, this print is cute, this looks quite promising…” (puts on the dress), “Wow this is super comfortable even with my bump, and look how nicely it drapes!” (looks in the mirror) “Bravo, Walmart! You have, in fact, done it again.”

Seriously, though. This is the PERFECT fall floral dress, easy to wear and style, comfortable, flattering, and so dang cute! I’m going to be wearing it all season and I can’t wait to create endless combinations with it.

Like I said, I found all of these pieces at Walmart and all of them are around or under $30. Unbelievable, I know!

Which combination are you liking for sweater weather?

Hello! It is so fun to see a mama styling pieces that aren’t technically maternity. I’m 16 weeks along and was curious to know if you went up a size in the sweaters and dress, or did you find that you had enough room to stick with your pre-pregnancy size in tbe items? Thanks so much!
