It’s been awhile since I shared a recipe with you guys, and I am so excited to share this one. These homemade honey dinner rolls are one of my family’s favorite things I make. These are soft and fluffy and so delicious. And smothered in the amazing cinnamon honey butter they are positively melt in your mouth. These are perfect to make for Sunday dinner, or bring them along to any holiday dinner and they’re a guaranteed hit. Find the full recipe below!

Homemade Honey Rolls Recipe:

Ingredients:

Rolls:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 TBSP melted butter
  • 1 large egg (room temp)
  •  1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups flour

Cinnamon honey butter:

  • 1 stick of butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Scald milk in a pan and allow to cool to warm. Add yeast, honey, and milk to a bowl and mix.  Let sit for at least 5 min to allow the yeast to bloom. Put yeast mixture, 3 tbsp of melted butter, egg and 2 cups of flour in stand mixer and mix on low until smooth. Slowly add the rest of the flour under dough comes together.  Add salt and knead in mixer for 8 minutes. Flour work surface and knead dough a few more minutes.  Spray a bowl with cooking oil and place dough in and cover. Prove for 1 hour until it is doubled in size (approx 1 hour).  Punch down dough and roll into a recatangle about 1/2 inch thick. Fold dough over itself and gently roll to seal it together. Cut into 24 squares and place on a greased cookie sheet.Allow rolls to prove another 30-40 minutes.

Preheat oven to  350º

Bake rolls 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.  Brush with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.

For honey butter: place all ingredients in mixer, beat with risk on medium until all the ingredients come together and the butter is whipped and fluffy.
