Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend the Meghan Trainor concert here in Seattle with HP. It was a blast and I even got to meet Meghan, (she gave me a hug and called me cute- we’re close like that) which made me a pretty cool mom in Hannah’s eyes. Probably the most fun for me was getting a little behind the scenes glimpse into what goes into creating a tour documentary. Since I get to be part of this one (insert nervous face) I got to meet and chat with the film crew. I’ve always been fascinated with film art, and though I’m pretty inexperienced when it comes to video and editing, it was fun to get to work with the crew and see how they do their thing. I can’t wait to see how the tour doc ends up, especially since they’re having the fans shoot some of the footage.
Pre-concert I had one of those closet meltdown moments, where your brain refuses to function and you have no idea what to wear, and it basically results with you staring blankly into the hanger abyss, with a large pile of clothes tossed haphazardly on the bed/floor behind you. I kept blanking– “what do you wear to a concert again??” In the end I opted for a graphic tee, my faux leather skirt and my favorite denim jacket. Ithought I’d try and pull off a bit of an edgy vibe, you know, as edgy as a 4’11” mother of four can be… and since it was also Valentine’s day I decided that I’d better wear my kiss, kiss graphic tee and a bright pink lip. I’d almost forgotten about this amazing lipstick from Bare Minerals and was so happy to have an excuse to wear it. (not that I need one, let’s be real)
