the third grade curse.

So Mr.

He has like probably the worst eye sight on the planet.  I know everyone who has glasses says that, but seriously, his is so bad that they ban him from half the frames at the optometrist because his lenses are so thick, and if he doesn’t put his glasses in the same spot every night he literally can’t find them in the morning.

This is why he lives in contacts.

Anyway, there’s this joke in his family (that’s not actually a joke because it’s something that actually happens) about there being a 3rd grade curse.

Eye sight’s fine, everyone’s going along happily, and then BOOM.  3rd grade hits and all of a sudden,

glasses.

So guess who started 3rd grade this year…

Curse is alive and well.

**Also, I should disclose that I often feel the impulse to just grab my children and nibble them to death.

Maybe it’s because they are so tiny (gee, I wonder where they could possibly get that from?) but they aren’t growing out of their cuteness.   Not even kind of.

I can understand why you would want to nibble on them, they are adorable to say the least. I started wearing glasses for reading when I was in first grade. At least they have super cute ones now for your kiddos!!! :)

  3. Your kids are super cute with or without glasses! I can totally relate to your husband – I was the same way. I had eye surgery last Spring and totally wish I had done it sooner. Best thing ever!

I can relate -my husband is similar. We paid over $400 for him to get decent looking frames and lenses that don’t look funky. He’s got insane coke bottles and can only see 1/2″ in front of him w/o glasses. I feel for him. My kids all seem to be heading that way.

I have a weird question. Well, first a statement. I love (want to marry) your white linen pants from Loft (and frankly, most of your wardrobe). What style are they? I found a pair on ebay, but I don’t know if they are the same; they are Ann style. Thanks! I just discovered your blog. I really like it!
