So if you can’t tell from the state of the grass, Washington has had the driest hottest summer so far.  Not that I’m complaining, besides not having AC, the weather has been so fun– swimming, days at the lake and basically living in our swimming suits, but I do miss my green Seattle, and my allergies are giving me a run for my money.  On these long dog days of summer, I like to minimize the layers as much as possible, which means I’ve been living in dresses.  In the past I’ve definitely leaned more towards fit and flare dresses, but I’ve added quite a few straight silhouettes to my wardrobe this year. I love how no fuss they are, and this two-directional striped one got me the minute I saw it.  (plus it’s on sale, so…) If you’re on the taller side and this dress is a little short for you, consider pairing it with jeans, like I did in Monday’s post here.
