This time of year, I really feel like wearing spring clothes, and every week or so we get a really gorgeous, sunny, warmish spring day, but for the most part the weather is cold and rainy.  Welcome to spring in Seattle.  So I’m all about great transition pieces.

We had family in town this weekend, so in Saturday we went out for a little adventure and it rained and rained all day.

It was so cold.  We went around town, to our favorite beach park (yeah you do all that kind of stuff in the rain here…) then to the Locks in Ballard and the salmon steps, then to get lunch a red mill burger, and by then we were all pretty ready to come home and lay by the fire watching movies and snacking on popcorn.  Not a bad way to spend a Saturday if you ask me.

My method for shopping and dressing during this time of year, is finding pieces that I can layer and wear now (which is more fun) but that will still work great in the warmer spring and summer months.  We just got this perfect linen-y windowpane top into the shop last week and I cannot wait to wear it through the spring and summer months.  The front pockets are kind of killing me dead.  But I love that it works well with my winter coats and boots still.

Check out all the new arrivals here.  Favorites from among the new arrivals: the windowpane top I’m wearing, this striped top, these super comfy denim overalls, and this polka dot drapey top.

  4. Love the whole outfit! I have been looking for ripped jeans but the rip never seems to be at my knees, but rather my shins, haha, short people problems!
