30 affordable farmhouse pieces from Walmart.

One of my favorite home bloggers Chris Love Julia, shared a thought last weekend, and it was one of those things that kept going in my mind over and over.  It was, that she believes everyone has the right to love and feel at home in their home.  I kept thinking about that all weekend, what it means for me, and what I’d like to share with you, lovely readers.  And here’s where I landed, and what I would like to share with you today:

You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect, or you’ve built your forever “dream house” to have a home you love, and that feels like home to you.  I think the internet has given us a false sense of reality, where there’s no in-between.  There’s that Pinterest-perfect instagram aspirational home you see online, and then there’s the reality of the home you live in.  Which, for most of us, often has rooms undecorated, laundry waiting to be folded, and awkward spaces you’re not sure what to do with.  I find that the ideal I see online often paralyzes me from making forward progress until everything can be perfect.  But the real goal here is progress, not perfection.  It doesn’t have to be perfect for it to be better than before.

And while I am a firm believer that quality is better than quantity, I also believe that style when it comes to both fashion and design can and should be accessible to EVERYONE.  Whether you can afford to shop at Nordstrom and Restoration Hardware or you’re in a season where your budget only has room for Walmart and thrift stores; there are lots of ways to make a house a home and turn a closet into your own.  And my goal is to make it easier for you to see that this is possible for you, no matter where you are in life, and help you find great pieces no matter your budget. Today I’m rounding up 30 affordable farmhouse pieces from Walmart.  Even I was surprised how great these pieces are, and they are all extrememely affordable.

My plan is to continue to do this with other stores and other budgets and maybe even take you on a thrifting/flea market outing and show you how you can actually add really great second hand quality pieces to your home/closet.
