weekend things…

I bought a pair of bootcut maternity jeans a couple weeks ago and I’ve been wearing them non-stop. They are so comfortable and I feel like they help (albeit a little) my legs look not quite so short while I’m stuck in maternity jeans land. I am loving the full length wide-leg and boot-cut jeans trend this year. I’ll be even more excited to try it once I can fit into a high waisted pair…

I’m not much of a TV watcher, but with all the maternity insomnia I’ve been dealing with I’ve taken to turning on a show late at night when I can’t sleep. I’ve been loving some of the shows on Magnolia Network. I think my favorite is the DeVol show “For the Love of Kitchens.” It’s absolutely charming, totally inspiring and Paul and Helen are so talented and have such a great vibe.

I pulled my Chelsea boots out for the first time this season, since the weather dropped a bit this week. It’s such a great casual style to add to a fall and winter closet. I wasn’t sure how much I would wear mine last year when I bought them, but I pulled them out constantly. They remind me a bit of the Dr Marten chunky boot trend from the 90’s and I kind of love that. This year’s version of the Madewell ones I bought are still on sale through tomorrow, and it’s a really great deal. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Speaking of weather dropping, happy Fall!!! It’s pumpkin season! If you are trying to plan a leaf peeping weekend, there’s a great fall foliage predictor right here!

If you like me are serious about your fall snacks, this is a fun little article about the best fall treats from Target. And FYI, we tried these pumpkin spice pretzels, and my entire family is obsessed with them.

If you are in New England, or planning to visit this season, I wrote about our day trip to Stowe, VT last year. It’s such a beautiful spot and the quintessential fall town.

Getting ready to transform your porch for fall? Here’s some fun inspiration from my front porch last year.

The Madewell insider sale ends tomorrow (9/27). I did a whole round-up of the best items for the season over here. I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you are looking to add a new pair of shoes or bag to your closet, because those items don’t often go on sale, and are really great.

If you are thinking of trying the lace-up boot trend but aren’t sure how to style them, here are 5 ways to wear them this season.

If you are looking for a new outerwear this season, J.Crew has some awesome options this season for up to 40% off right now. I just added this casual one in vintage pine and it’s become an instant favorite.

Looking to drink more water? I started using waterdrops to help me drink more water recently, and it’s made a huge difference. You can learn more about them here. I also have a 15% off code to try them out: CORI15. My favorite flavor is BOOST.
