One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is put together pretty tablescapes for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Every year I come up with new color schemes and themes and have so much fun putting it all together. I thought I would share this year’s modern farmhouse thanksgiving tablescape. Last years, table was farm inspired as well, and I remember writing about how it was my dream to move to a farmhouse. What a difference a year can make. We’ve got so much to be grateful this year, it makes me extra excited to celebrate Thanksgiving!

As I said a few weeks ago, I’ve got buffalo check on the brain this year, so I went with that print for the napkins and paired them with lots of modern farmhouse elements; white plates, cotton stems, glass jars, a metal centerpiece and natural woven chargers. While I love the aesthetic of big beautiful centerpieces, I’m not a fan of actually using them for a meal, because you can’t see each other, and I want everyone to be able to talk and enjoy the meal together without having to take it apart. So I usually gravitate towards low centerpieces, that make passing the salt easy. I also added some rosemary and thyme sprigs to the plates to give the table a natural feel and a fresh scent. I plan to use a lot of these elements in my Christmas dinner table, and just change/add a few things. As for Thanksgiving, I love the way it all came together. Now, all we need is the turkey!
